The first-year SLC students and some staff joined the Feast Day celebration of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on the top of A Lam Bum praying mountain on 14th September 2023. They left the campus at 6:30 in the morning and arrived at the top of the hill at about 11:00 a.m. The mountain is 18 miles away from Myitkyina and rises 2,850 ft. above sea level. Traditionally, the local people in Myitkyina Diocese have been celebrating it on September 14th for 40 years. More than 100,000 people joined the celebration as usual.
On 16th September 2023, our second-year students and some of our office staff joined the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at the top of Queen of Peace, a praying mountain in Shadau parish, about 10 miles away from Myitkyina.
